thus ends the first week of work. phew!

this week was by no means a smooth ride, especially being the in-house newbie. i've barely started on my first project, and things are going too slowly for their own good. however this new batch of babies i'm cultivating under strict and sterile conditions are behaving quite well despite the long hours of wait i have to endure before seeing them grow up strong and healthily. such is the fate of a researcher.

on another note, my colleagues have been very accomodating, nice and extremely patient with my questions (well, so far) so thank God for that. the least i can do is not to tread on any toes, and cross my fingers and pray for the next few weeks of work to be smooth (: thanks to the babes in the office for making my first week quite cool!

what is great about a new environment is that i get to meet new people all the time. and at the same time i'm learning hard not to get into the habit of pre-judgement, as that always succeeds to shame me when i find out that the person in question don't always turn out as what i perceived them to be in the first place *sheepish look*. so you see, do not judge a book by its cover everytime.

last night was friday night! i really looked forward to this day since monday -_- i joined the boy and his friends jon, mathilda and kalai for dinner. satisfied my palate with a meal of chicken cordon bleu from Breko Cafe...omg! it was refreshing and fantastic, though somewhat gelat and big in serving. the last time i had that was in berlin, i think. great food, great company!

afterwards was another night of blues at timbre, this time at the artshouse. cool ambience and cool company (:
